A beautiful “Boston” couple getting married in one of the most beautiful part of Victoria…. Fairhaven along The Great Ocean Road.

This beautiful Fairhaven beach wedding with Ryan & Christiana and their closest of friends Paul, Flora, Sangita & Hershel oozed intimacy amongst the closest of friends.

I am a firm believer in the exquisite beauty of nature.  Being on holidays with family and friends in our own Surf Coast was just so perfect to try and get out and grab something memorable.

The best thing about staying in Apollo Bay is The Great Ocean Road is only an hour away which would give us an opportunity to watch the sunset in it’s entirety.  If you haven’t stayed for the sunset please do it is very special.

The sun, the sky and colours just turned it on for us and we are fortunate to capture some of these gorgeous landscape shots.

The last pic in this series is a sunrise shot from Skene’s Creek just before Apollo Bay – I would love to capture more of our beautiful surroundings this year and just share the vast beauty of what is in our “own backyard”.

I Hope you enjoy this series….. I am a novice when it comes to landscape photography however when I am out there at 5:00am in the morning setting up for that 10 minutes of amazing light, it’s a real buzz!

Until next time…. John Yau

Our last wedding for 2012 took Tom and I over to Hobart in Tasmania.  For me this was no ordinary wedding as I remember Jenny as a 4-year-old brat way back when our family lived in Wangaratta – a provincial township in country Victoria.  You see Jenny is my dear cousin and we did grow up together in a short space of time til Jenny and her family decided to move and live in Gosford in NSW.  It was an absolute honour to not only see Jenny get married to an incredible man and that’s none other than Andrew.   Gorgeous wedding, awesome location and best of all I finally got to see my little cousin get married and also had having the sheer honour to capture the wedding day is just too much awesomeness all in one day in November!  Our first wedding shooting in digital and Fuji 400h Film in Medium Format goodness and the results were incredible!  I loved the concept of an all “Bro” bridal party….. so cool.

Once again Jenny and Andrew, congratulations to the both of you on a really chilled out and relaxed wedding!

Thank you for viewing and a massive start to our 2013 blogging year!  Happy 2013 to everyone!

Note: Please feel free to share the blog with ALL your family and friends!
